Manchester United could make a surprise swoop for Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, according to Daily Mail.
The Red Devils currently have Andre Onana as their priority goalkeeper target, but Inter Milan are reluctant to sell him for less than £52 million.
As things stand, United are yet to meet the asking price, and Daily Mail claim that they are exploring alternative options in the transfer market.
Sanchez is one of those on their radar. The Spain international could be prised away from the Seagulls for a fee in the region of £30 million.
The 25-year-old started last season as an undisputed starter for Brighton, but lost his place to Jason Steele in the back end of the season.
The South Coast outfit have now signed another talented keeper in Bart Verbruggen. Sanchez is widely expected to be sold this summer.
It remains to be seen whether United will acquire his services. He would be a decent upgrade on David de Gea whose contract expired last month.
