Manchester United are prepared to sell Scott McTominay and Dean Henderson to fund the transfer of Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.
McTominay has been a fringe player for the Red Devils over recent months and he is already contemplating a move away from Old Trafford.Newcastle United are one of the main contenders to sign him and a deal worth £40 million could materialise in the summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, Dean Henderson will return with United in pre-season but the Englishman has no desire to work as a deputy to David de Gea.
He was sent out on loan to Nottingham Forest before a long-term injury in January. Steve Cooper’s side plan to make a permanent offer.
As per The Athletic, the Red Devils are prepared to part ways with the duo such that they can land the signature of Mount from the Blues.
Mount has entered the final year of his deal at the London club but they are expected to demand at least £60m to sell him to United.
