Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has dismissed the chances of Chelsea and Manchester United signing Victor Osimhen this summer.
The Nigerian star had a tremendous 2022/23 season with the Naples outfit. He scored 31 goals as they won the Serie A title after 33 years.
De Laurentiis is now determined to keep hold of the striker, and believes only Paris Saint-Germain could sign the 24-year-old from them.
Speaking to Mediaset, he said that only Les Parisiens could afford the €200 million fee required to sign the former Lille man this summer.
He said: “The only club that could afford Victor Osimhen is Paris Saint-Germain.”
“If Nasser Al Khelaifi [PSG president] wants to send in a bid around €200m (£170m).
“We wait and we see what happens. I personally think that Victor will stay here.”
Osimhen’s current contract with Napoli expires in June 2025, but the club are working hard to convince him to extend his deal.
Even if he does not sign, De Laurentiis is happy to keep the striker in Naples for another season unless the asking price is met.
