Napoli centre-back Kim Min-jae has agreed personal terms with Manchester United ahead of a transfer next month.
The South Korean star had a fantastic debut season with Napoli, keeping an impressive 16 clean sheets in 35 Serie A games.
It is now reported by Il Mattino that United are favourites to sign the 26-year-old. They are prepared to trigger his release clause.
The defender’s €60m buy-out clause will be active for the first 15 days of July, and the club are ready to activate it as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, the same publication claim that personal terms have been finalised. Min-jae has agreed a package of £9m per year.
The former Fenerbahce man has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, but he has his sights on moving to the Premier League.Chelsea are keeping a close eye on his situation, but they are unlikely to sign him, having missed out on Champions League football.
Min-jae has been on the Red Devils’ radar since he was playing in China. They are currently in pole position to sign him next month.
