Tottenham have entered the race to sign VfL Wolfsburg’s defender Micky van de Ven on a five-year contract. Spurs are looking to add defensive reinforcements to their squad ahead of the 2023-24 campaign, and with a price tag of 17 million, Spurs are likely to be very happy with the signing of the 22-year-old seen as a hot prospect for the future.
Micky van de Ven has appeared for the Netherlands under-21 team, and was a member of the preliminary squad for last year’s World Cup in Qatar, and has yet to appear for his full national team. At 6 foot 4, the Wormer-born defender has bags of potential and could slot in to Tottenham’s defence as a replacement for Davinson Sanchez.
