Arsenal and Manchester United look likely to miss out on signing Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves.
Neves has been a key player for the Midlands outfit but he has decided to pursue a bigger challenge when the campaign ends.Arsenal and United are among his admirers from the Premier League but Sport claim that he has already turned them down.
Neves dreams of playing for Barcelona and he has already agreed a four-year contract with the Catalan giants from this summer.
A transfer has yet to materialise with Barcelona but Neves is focused on his deal and does not plan to join any other European side.
The Blaugrana hierarchy believe Neves would be a quality signing but manager Xavi has a different opinion on the Portuguese.
Xavi has apparently snubbed the prospect of signing Neves on three occasions but the midfielder has not given up hope.
It remains to be seen whether Xavi’s stance changes in the coming weeks.
