Aston Villa could attempt to sign Manchester United forward Anthony Martial on loan next season.
Martial has had another injury-plagued campaign and he has netted just eight goals from 27 appearances.
Ahead of the summer, there is speculation over his future and Football Transfers claim that Villa are keeping tabs on him.
The west Midlands outfit currently have Ollie Watkins up front. The Englishman has been in superb scoring form.
Despite this, they may want more back-up next term. Martial, who can also play on the left wing, would be a solid signing.
Martial’s current deal with United expires in the summer of 2024 but United have the option to extend for another 12 months.
Hence, they have time on their hands to sell him. Villa could propose a loan deal with an option to buy for around £30 million.
United currently have their sights on landing a marquee striker. Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen and Goncalo Ramos are top targets for them.
