Serie A giants AC Milan have opened fresh negotiations with Chelsea to sign midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek this summer.
Loftus-Cheek was in-and-out of the starting line-up for the Blues last term, and he is expected to be sold in the coming weeks.
His current deal expires at the end of next season, and the Blues are quite clear that they don’t want to lose him on a free transfer.
Earlier this month, Milan failed with a proposal to sign him on loan, but they are now willing to negotiate a permanent move.
The Rossoneri recently sanctioned the sale of Sandro Tonali to Newcastle United, and they are set to receive £60m from the deal.
The Milan giants plan to utilise the funds effectively on many signings. Loftus-Cheek is one of those that could move to San Siro.
Milan could propose to pay between £15-20m for the 27-year-old, who made 33 appearances for the Blues in all competitions last season.
