Manchester United have promised manager Erik ten Hag that they will sign Andre Onana from Inter Milan this summer.
The Cameroonian star played under the United boss for four-and-a-half seasons at Ajax, and there could be a reunion.
Ten Hag has identified Onana as the priority target for the goalkeeping role, and United now need to finalise a fee with Inter.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri value the goalkeeper at €60m, but they are willing to accept a lesser fee up front.
United are yet to make an opening bid for the 27-year-old, but Ten Hag has been promised that they will sign Onana this summer.
The Red Devils are working on a limited transfer budget at the moment and most of their business could depend on player sales.
They have already agreed a deal to sign Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.
Ten Hag is eyeing a new goalkeeper, a centre forward and a central defender before the transfer window closes this summer.
