Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is expected to leave the club as soon as Andre Onana arrives at Old Trafford.
The England international spent last season on loan with Nottingham Forest, and he is desperate to join them on a permanent deal.
The move has been blocked by manager Erik ten Hag until now, but should be sanctioned with Onana on the verge of joining United.
United have been negotiating with Inter Milan for Onana in recent weeks. The 27-year-old is expected to sign for them very soon.
Henderson is currently going through his rehabilitation at United’s training ground following a thigh surgery at the start of May.
He is expected to be fit before the new campaign, but it is quite clear that he has no plans of staying put as the back-up goalkeeper.
United could sell Henderson to Forest for around £15 million up front with a further £5m in the form of performance add-ons.
