Chelsea have not cooled their interest in signing Southampton midfielder and Liverpool target Romeo Lavia.
The Blues are currently focusing on the transfer of midfielder Moises Caicedo from Brighton & Hove Albion.
They are reluctant to meet the £100m asking price, but remain positive over reaching a transfer agreement.
Once that happens, the club should shift their focus towards Lavia, who is eager to leave the Saints soon.
Lavia had an excellent debut season in the Premier League last term despite the Saints suffering relegation.
He is currently on demand, and there could be a bidding war between the Blues and the Reds for him.Arsenal and Manchester United are also keeping tabs, but their interest depends on player departures.
The Gunners could make an approach for the 19-year-old, suppose Thomas Partey is sold in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, United’s pursuit of the young defensive midfielder depends on Scott McTominay leaving the club.
McTominay is currently on the radar of West Ham United.
