Manchester United have the opened the door for Fred’s departure amid interest from Fulham.
The Brazil international has been a fringe player for the Red Devils, and he has only started games when they have been injuries.
It is now reported that the club are open to sanctioning his sale for around £20 million. Fulham are leading the race to sign him.
The Cottagers had a brilliant return to the Premier League last season, and they finished an impressive 10th with 52 points on the board.
They are now aiming to reinforce their squad ahead of the 2022/23 campaign and Marco Silva is eager to bring Fred to west London.
Fred will enter the final year of his United deal in July. The hierarchy have made the decision to offload him with no contract talks planned.
Aside from Fred, Donny van de Beek and Scott McTominay are among other midfielders that could leave in the forthcoming weeks.
Van de Beek has been linked with a return to the Netherlands while McTominay is on the radar of Newcastle and West Ham.
