Manchester United are reportedly planning a surprise approach to sign Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins this summer.

The Red Devils are determined to bolster their centre-forward department and they are looking at different options.Harry Kane was initially the prime target, but he is no longer on their radar due to the hefty £100m asking price.
It is now reported by The Athletic that United are looking for a ‘no risk’ solution under manager Erik ten Hag.
With Kane no longer a target, the club have shifted their focus to Watkins, who netted 16 goals in the past season.
The ex-Brentford man was in superb form during the second half of the season as Villa finished seventh in the table.
Villa are already in talks over a new contract with the 27-year-old, but United could test their resolve with an offer.
In our opinion, it may take at least £50m for the Midlands outfit to consider his exit during the ongoing transfer window.
